Introduction

Calmly ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your information when you use our mobile application. Calmly is developed by Anders Rognlien.

Information We Collect

Calmly is designed with privacy at its core. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. All data processed by the app remains exclusively on your device. No data is collected that is linked to your identity.

Required Permissions

Calmly requires the following device permissions to function:

• Screen Time / Family Controls: To monitor your device usage patterns, enforce app blocking, and manage screen time limits
• Notifications: To send you reminders, alerts, and mindfulness nudges

These permissions are used solely for core app functionality. You can revoke any permission at any time through your device settings.

Screen Time Data

The app uses Apple's Screen Time API to access your device usage statistics. This data is:

• Processed locally on your device
• Never transmitted to any external servers
• Never shared with third parties
• Under your complete control

Data Linked to You

Calmly does not collect any data that is linked to your identity. We do not collect usage data, analytics data, contact information, identifiers, or any other personal information. Your screen time information is analyzed entirely on your device to provide usage insights and is never transmitted externally.

Data Retention

All data is stored locally on your device for as long as you have the app installed. Screen time statistics are retained according to Apple's Screen Time framework settings. When you delete the app, all Calmly-specific data is permanently removed from your device. There is no server-side data to delete.

Your Rights

You have full control over your data:

• Access: View all your data directly within the app
• Deletion: Delete the app to remove all Calmly data from your device
• Control: Revoke Screen Time and notification permissions at any time in your device settings

Data Security

Your data is protected by Apple's built-in device security features including device encryption and secure storage. Since no data leaves your device, there is no risk of data breaches from our servers.

Third-Party Services

Calmly does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking services. We do not use any third-party SDKs that collect user data. The only external service involved is Apple's App Store for processing in-app subscription purchases, which is governed by Apple's own privacy policy.

Children's Privacy

Calmly can be used by users of all ages. Since we do not collect any personal information from anyone, there is no risk of collecting data from children. The app processes all data locally without transmission to external servers.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
